Mobile Rack

• Carriages (mobile bases): Fabricated steel frames (I‑beams or channel sections) with integrated wheel mounts – designed for high point loads from pallet racking.

• Wheels / casters: Steel wheels with polyurethane tread (quiet, non‑marking) or all‑steel wheels for extreme loads – mounted on heavy‑duty tapered roller bearings. Load capacity per wheel: 2000‑5000 kg.

• Tracks (rails): Hot‑rolled steel rails (surface‑mounted or recessed) anchored into concrete floor with chemical/epoxy anchors.

• Racking structure: Standard selective pallet racking (adjustable beams, upright frames) mounted directly onto the mobile carriages – same quality as our fixed pallet racking.

• Drive mechanism options:

  • Manual (hand wheel / crank) – geared for heavy loads (requires reasonable effort).

  • Semi‑electric (push‑button assisted) – electric motor assists movement; ideal for medium to heavy systems.

  • Full electric (touch‑button) – motorised carriage movement; remote control or wall‑mounted panel.

• Safety features: Anti‑tip bolts, aisle‑entry infrared sensors (electric systems), emergency stop buttons, audible movement alarms, and end‑of‑travel limit switches.

• Floor reinforcement: Where required, we specify additional concrete thickness or load‑spreading plates.

All materials comply with FEM, AS4084, or equivalent racking standards, and are sourced from certified suppliers

• Massive space savings – Traditional selective racking requires an aisle for every row of racking (60‑70% of floor area is aisles). Mobile rack eliminates fixed aisles, keeping only one moving aisle – you can store 3‑5 times more pallets in the same footprint.

• High density, full accessibility – Unlike drive‑in or push‑back racking, mobile rack still allows direct access to every pallet (no LIFO restrictions). Open the required aisle, and the specific pallet is immediately reachable by forklift.

• Suitable for mixed SKUs – Because it’s selective racking on mobile carriages, you can store different products on every pallet position – ideal for warehouses with varied inventory.

• Cold storage efficiency – In freezers, mobile rack reduces the volume of air that needs to be chilled (by eliminating open aisles), saving significant energy costs.

• Future‑proof – Carriage layout can be reconfigured later (add or remove rows, change racking heights) as your inventory changes.
